Summary of Life:
I have been living in Los Angeles since 1991. I grew up as a U.S. Air Force child who spent time in Texas, Alabama, Panama City, Panama, Germany, Turkey and I spent my formative teenage years attending an American in Madrid, Spain.
As a creative writing major, my first opportunity out of USC was an internship writing ads for Nike. My boss in advertising taught me how to design a memorable campaign. While I realized advertising wasn’t my career interest, I found a job in the meantime working at UCLA for a research study that involved working with the homeless. For a while afterwards, I worked at Nissan North American in Market Strategy & Research, which taught me how to segment data and tell stories using data. I will use this skill to share a COVID narrative. Eventually, I taught in Los Angeles - South Los Angeles, Panorama City & Sherman Oaks - while also teaching and making films regularly. In 2015, I participated in Xprize Educational Software Development competition where I developed a learning management system with a team of programmers. This taught me how to develop software first hand with a team of programmers. After my various interests, I’ve decided that I’ve accumulated enough abilities to run for LA mayor. My way of thinking is that a mayor is storyteller for a city, and a mayor without ideas is like a city without leadership.
